Donald "Don" Craig, age 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Jacksonville, FL on July 14, 2017. He was born on June 13, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY and he graduated from Hastings High School.

Don enlisted in the Marine Corps and served his country during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954.

Prior to retirement Don was a Sales Manager in the Food Industry with Toms Foods Inc. He also was the owner of "Come Back Inn" restaurant in New Orleans.

Donald "Don" Craig, age 86, passed away peacefully at his home in Jacksonville, FL on July 14, 2017. He was born on June 13, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY and he graduated from Hastings High School.

Don enlisted in the Marine Corps and served his country during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954.

Prior to retirement Don was a Sales Manager in the Food Industry with Toms Foods Inc. He also was the owner of "Come Back Inn" restaurant in New Orleans.

Don loved solving problems, encouraging others and a friend to all he met. He enjoyed time with his family, weekends at the lake, and his annual Easter Egg Hunt competition with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing, wood working, and football season. Don especially enjoyed attending all of his grandchildren's sporting events.

He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Kathleen Allan Craig.

He is survived by two sons, Donald Craig (Becky) of Jacksonville, FL, Kelly Craig (Marianne) Of Oldsmar, FL., three daughters, Susan Turner (Steve) of Jacksonville, FL, Cathy Raybon (James) of Atlanta, GA and Laurie Melancon (DeJean) of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by a sister Alice Craig of Summerville, SC, 9 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren.

A celebration of Don's life will be on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:00am at the Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32225.

Inurnment will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank his special caregivers, Beth, Rene, Deborah, and Lisa.
